Why a Reciprocating Cryogenic Pump?

Pressure and precision. Reciprocating pumps push a fixed volume on every stroke. Flow follows stroke and speed, not the pressure on the discharge side. You get high pressure and steady, controllable flow from the same machine.

That makes them a natural fit for cylinder filling, high-pressure gas supply and test-stand service.

CTR Cryo's reciprocating skids handle LIN, LOX, LAR, LNG and CO2. Vacuum-jacketed cold ends cut cooldown losses and hold efficiency through long duty cycles.

Duty/Standby Redundancy: Why the Second Pump Matters

Maintenance without a shutdown. Pull one pump for seal or valve work. The other keeps running.

Switchover when it counts. If the duty pump faults, PLC logic brings the standby pump online.

Wear that's easier to plan. Alternate duty between pumps, spread the run hours, and schedule rebuilds on your terms instead of the pump's.

Service from the people who build it. CTR repairs and rebuilds cryogenic pumps too. When your standby pump needs work, you already know who to call.

Plug-and-Play Pump Skid: Set It, Connect It, Run It

No piecing together pumps, piping, and controls in the field. The skid arrives as one package: pumps, piping, valves, instrumentation, controls, and safety logic, mounted and connected on a common base.

It's tested at CTR before it ships. On site, you set it up and make the connections. Less field work. Faster commissioning.

Need it to fit your facility? Piping layouts and controls can be configured to your interfaces.

Built for Operations That Can't Wait

Industrial gas producers and distributors. High-pressure cylinder filling and bulk transfer, with a backup pump ready when deliveries are on the line.

Aerospace test and ground support. The skid can serve test stands and ground-support operations that need steady high-pressure LOX, LIN or LAR, with a standby pump ready if the duty pump faults mid-fill or mid-test.

Dual Reciprocating Pump Skid FAQ

What is a dual reciprocating pump skid? It's two reciprocating pumps mounted on one engineered base with shared piping, valves, instrumentation and controls. One pump runs while the other stands by or alternates duty.

What's the difference between duty/standby and alternating duty? Duty/standby keeps one pump in reserve for faults or maintenance. Alternating duty rotates the pumps to spread run hours and wear evenly.

Which cryogenic fluids can it pump? CTR Cryo's reciprocating skids are designed for LIN, LOX, LAR, LNG and CO2.

What do I need to spec one? Fluid, discharge pressure, flow range, duty cycle, switchover preference, and your facility's connection and control tie-in details.
